Product Details & Features
The Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive mower will take the hard work out of mowing. It is most suited to medium sized gardens and will produce an excellent cut on both fine lawns and rougher grass areas. The Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive has an 18" (46cm) width of cut and is self-propelled so you don’t have to push the mower around the lawn.
A 3-in-1 capability allows you to cut-and-collect, cut-and-mulch or cut-and-discharge, making the Hayter Osprey 46 Autodrive a very versatile mower. In cut-and-mulch mode, the clippings are cut into tiny pieces and blown back down into the grass to give a finished appearance as if the clippings have been collected. Just follow the golden rules of mulching by cutting regularly and taking off no more than one-third of the length of the grass (leaving two-thirds to hide the clippings) and mulching will give a finished appearance as good as collection.
When in cutting and collecting mode, the Hayter Osprey has excellent grass collection and packs the generous 55 litre grass bag full. The grass bag can be lifted through the handlebars for easy emptying and reattachment. For rougher areas where collection and mulching are either unsuitable or not required, the clippings can simply be discharged out of the back of the mower.
The Osprey’s height of cut is adjusted with a single lever that allows you to choose from seven different cutting heights giving you plenty of range to choose from according your preference, the cutting conditions and the type of mowing you are doing.
The Hayter Opsrey 46 Autodrive features a robust steel cutter deck that incorporates a wash port. So, when the mowing is done, cleaning underneath the mower is easy. Simply plug in the hose, switch the water on and start the engine. When it is time to put the mower away, the handles fold for easy storage.
Power is provided by a reliable and easy starting Briggs & Stratton 500 Series engine.
