From Mountfield’s entry-level range of mowers, the self-propelled Mountfield SP53 Elite is a light and easy to manoeuvre 4-wheel mower which is ideal for the larger lawn.

Although entry level, the SP53 Elite is not short on features found on some higher specification models.

The cutter deck is made from steel for durability and the height of cut is adjusted by a single lever giving a range of six positions. Grass collection and mulching both come as standard as do large diameter rear wheels to make the mower easier to use on rougher areas of grass.

This model is powered by a Honda engine and features a 20” (51cm) width of cut.

A large grass collection bag is supplied as standard and will give plenty of cutting time before emptying is required. The grass bag’s high air flow design makes for excellent grass collection.

Honda have fitted their SMART Drive system to the HRN536VK. The SMART Drive system allows you to select your forward speed precisely to match the conditions. Control of the drive is operated by the thumbs or palms and the speed is controlled by the amount of pressure applied to the levers. In areas where you may want to push or pull the mower, a two-way ratchet system in the drive allows the wheels to rotate freely in both directions meaning very little force is required for forward as well as reverse movement.

The HRN536VK offers seven height of cut settings ranging from 27mm to 100mm allowing a range of surfaces from lawns to rougher areas to be cut.

A powerful and quiet-running 167cc four-stroke Honda engine powers the HRN536VK. The Honda engine is environmentally friendly as well as economical and clean running. The engine’s auto-choke feature ensures an easy start every time.

The Honda HRD 536 QX is a 21'' (53cm) mower designed to tackle large gardens. It is powered by a Honda 163cc OHV unleaded petrol engine.

The mower has a rear roller to give classic lawn stripes and allows mowing up to and over lawn edges without scalping. It is also fitted with the Roto-stop® safety feature which stops the blade but allows the engine to be left running while the grass bag is emptied. This feature also allows the mower to be driven safely to the lawn, even along gravel drives. An optional side deflector chute is available if grass collection is not needed.
