Although the Stihl MS251C-BE is part of Stihl’s ‘occasional use’ range of chainsaws, it borders on the semi-commercial range and is very popular with demanding homeowners and occasional commercial users such as farmers and landscape contractors.
Ideal for cutting firewood, felling small trees and other grounds maintenance work, the Stihl MS251C-BE is packed with features which include the impressive ErgoStart system. ErgoStart is a spring assisted starting system which makes the MS251C-BE exceptionally easy to start. We would always urge caution when storing a chainsaw to ensure that it is kept out of reach of children but we urge extra caution on saws fitted with ErgoStart because of the ease with which these saws can be started.
The Stihl MS251C-BE has a modern design and uses an economical Stihl 2-MIX engine. The 45.6cc engine generates 2.2kW / 3.0hp which gives excellent performance.
The MS251C-BE’s engine is fitted with a compensator to ensure that the engine keeps running at peak performance even when the air filter starts to get dirty. The MS251C-BE also features Stihl’s long-life air filter system to ensure maximum life from the air filter.
Adding chain oil and fuel is very quick and easy with Stihl’s quick release tank caps.
Chain tensioning is achieved on the Stihl MS251C-BE via the tool-free Quick Chain tensioning system. Just loosen the side case, adjust the chain tension with the adjuster wheel and re-tighten the side case.
The Stihl MS251C-BE chainsaw has an excellent reputation for performance and reliability and is trusted by many users.
The Stihl MS251C-BE is available with a 14” (35cm), 16” (40cm) or 18” (45cm) guide bar. Please note, cutting length will always be a little shorter than the bar length because of the way guide bars are measured. The difference between the guide bar length and cutting length varies by chainsaw model.
